Kayak, paddle board, kiteboard,
snorkel and swim!
Come on in, the water's fine!

image Casa Cardonal has at its doorstep a pristine, swimmable and sandy beach. The beach is very private. Often you will be alone on your stroll along the beach, or perhaps joined by a local pet to keep you company. The sand is comfortable to bare feet for about a mile north all the way to the coral reef. With sandals you can walk for miles. Images of the beach.

Most of the year the winds are calm and the water is warm and inviting. There is no undertow and very gentle waves, so the swimming is excellent. The live coral reef offers abundant tropical reef fish and excellent snorkeling. All the equipment for snorkeling is at the Casa.

imageA great way to get to the reef or to view the sea life are the kayaks and the stand-up paddle boards. The two paddle boards are so new that and we have yet to use them ourselves. The larger paddle board is called the "Fisherman" and has a fishing pole holder. Imagine hooking a rooster fish while on the "Fisherman". Both boards are very stable and excellent for beginners as well as long excursions. With paddle boards you can travel for miles and viewing sea life is easy from your perch above the water. You can stroll along with the passing whales or join a school of dolphin.

imageFrom mid-November through early March Baja's famous "El Norte" winds sweep the Sea of Cortez. Even when the wind blows there is no undertow along the beach in front of the Casa and the water is still swimmable. Body surfing is quite good and the kiteboarding and surf kayaking is world class! The area attracts windsurfers from around the world with ideal sailing conditions for advanced sailors or intermediates with confident water-start experience. Get wet images.
